I don’t know how you manage it every time, you crafty bastards. But every time I watch your movie I turn from a 22 year old female with a heart verging on the brink of stone into a weepy mess. Maybe it’s because you cast the awesome grandfather from 8 Simple Rules as the old man. Maybe it’s because you made the love of my life, Ryan Gosling, your leading man. Who’s to say?...
